Lesley Tilley MSN

Lesley Tilley, DNP, RN, NE-BC
Lesley Tilley is a registered nurse and healthcare executive with three decades of experience driving clinical and operational excellence across diverse healthcare settings in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. Before serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge, she was the Regional Vice-President of Operations at Our Lady of the Lake Health overseeing strategic growth and operational initiatives across five regional campuses. Lesley's experience includes spearheading interdisciplinary initiatives in acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, post-acute care, and hospital operations.
Lesley received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in executive leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2024 and is a board-certified nurse executive. She is an active member of professional organizations such as the Louisiana Organization of Nursing Leadership and the American Nurses Association and is a proud member of the Baton Rouge District Nurses Association.
Committed to fostering future healthcare leaders, Lesley has developed scholarship programs, cultivated high school workforce development partnerships, and championed workplace diversity. She is a published author on topics including workplace violence prevention and innovative care delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cynthia Ingram is a dedicated nursing professional with 30 years of experience in various areas of acute care and leadership. They currently serve as Assistant Vice President of Women and Children Services at St. Tammany Health System, where they lead the Women and Children Services Division and responsible for initiating a Family Advisory Group, obtaining Birth Ready+ Designation, and Baby Friendly Designation, as well as the Certified Autism Designation for the Pediatric Division.
Cindy has been actively involved in Northshore District Nurses Association and currently serves as Director of Operations, Louisiana Nurses Association Bylaws and Recognition Committee member, member of American Organization of Nurse Leaders and Louisiana Organization of Nurse Leaders, and Board Member of Children’s Advocacy Center Hope House demonstrating a commitment to advancing the nursing profession. Their areas of focus include nurse engagement and patient advocacy.
As a board member of Louisiana State Nurses Association (LSNA), Cindy is passionate about ensuring nurses from all backgrounds have a voice in their profession encouraging them to become a member of their professional organization, working to support nurses and improve healthcare outcomes.

Benita Chatmon PhD, MSN, RN, CNE

Dr. Benita N. Chatmon is the Assistant Dean for Clinical Nursing Education at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana and the Nurse Researcher at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. She currently serves in the position of President for the Louisiana State Nurses Association. Dr. Chatmon has been a registered nurse for more than 15 years and a nurse educator for the past 13 years. She is a Certified Nurse Educator and Certified Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Dr. Chatmon believes as nurses it is our responsibility to lead in every role and setting, seeking opportunities to collaborate with nursing and non-nursing organizations in order to extend the profession’s reach and impact. Dr. Chatmon serves the nursing profession and greater community via her leadership within several professional organizations. Most notably, Dr. Chatmon is a veteran in the United States Army Reserve.
Dr. Chatmon lives in LaPlace, Louisiana and loves spending time traveling with her family and friends.

A senior leader in healthcare management with fifty years of experience in the public and private sector, in behavioral health and primary care settings. Proven expertise in the design and implementation of organization-wide quality management programs; specializing in the integration of clinical operations and regulatory readiness with fourteen successful Joint Commission Behavioral Health Hospital accreditations and four Ambulatory Care. She is currently a healthcare consultant.
In addition to clinical care, she has served as Nurse Executive and Quality Support Services Director at several New Orleans/Northshore facilities ranging from 32-489 beds. She was Director of Quality Support Services at a FQHC primary-care system consisting of 11 nurse practitioner led clinics across 5 parishes.
Additionally, her teaching experience includes staff development, development of ANCC approved continuing education programs, local, state, and national presentations, PMHN clinical instructor at PRJC, BRGH SON, William Carey College and Southeastern La. University.
She was re-elected to a second four-year term on the Board of Commissioners of Hospital District 2 in St. Tammany Parish and serves on the executive committee, finance committee, chairs the Board quality management committee and is liaison to the foundation. Also, recently reappointed to a third term as a member of the ANA Professional Policy Committee.
She has extensive association management experience as secretary of APNA-La. Chpt. x two terms, recently completed a ten-year term as past president of the Northshore District Nurses Association for which she received the 2023 LSNA Outstanding President Award and is now the Director of Publicity. She is a forty-year member of LSNA, is a LSNA Fellow, recent past president, and secretary and currently serves on the LSNA BOD as newly elected secretary.

Mimi was born, raised, and still currently a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. She is married and has 2 kids. Mimi received academic degrees from Xavier University (BS), LSU Health Sciences Center (BSN), and her most recent from American Military University in August of 2023 (MSN). She is a rising nurse leader with over 10 years of healthcare experience. Mimi’s nursing career started at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans as an emergency room nurse. She quickly became a key member among her team and begin to grow into leadership roles. Mimi has been nominated multiple times for and is a recipient of the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Aside of emergency nursing, she also has experience in infusion, clinic, and school nursing. Currently, she manages Ochsner School Nurse Program and all Ochsner school nurses across the Greater New Orleans Area. She has developed as a leader throughout her nursing career as well as in her current role; both giving her the qualities needed to be innovative while adding value to LSNA membership, recruitment, and retention. When she occupied the supervisor position for this role, she was nominated as the systemwide supervisor of the year at Ochsner Health. She was also a recipient of the Community Health Nursing Excellence award from New Orleans District Nurses Association. Mimi’s community efforts have made healthcare accessible to many students in New Orleans that will continue to bring impacts beyond her nursing career and in our communities. Mimi serves as the Vice President for LSU Health Sciences Center- School of Nursing,
Alumni Association. Most recently, she received recognition as an outstanding alumnus of the school.
Mimi believes that every Louisiana nurse should be a part of LSNA, and their district level nurses association. LSNA goal is to represent all registered nurses in our state, regardless of your education level, specialty, position, or work setting. Together, she believes that our collective voices will continue to be impactful in legislation and advance healthcare in Louisiana. Mimi’s goal as your Director of Membership is that she will add value to LSNA by increasing membership and through innovative recruitment and retention efforts.

Director of Nursing Leadership and Professional Development
Tricia Annette Broussard is a dedicated nursing professional with 32 years of experience in Adult Health, Nursing Leadership, and Education. She currently serves as Director of Nursing Professional Development for the Lafayette and Baton Rouge Regions at Ochsner Health, where she is responsible for collaborating with nursing leadership throughout the healthcare system on best practice initiatives and staff education to provide patient safety, optimal outcomes, and the latest research and evidence for patient care. She also serves as Co-chair of the Ochsner System Nursing Research Council and Program Director of the Ochsner Lafayette General RN Nurse Residency Program.
Tricia is actively involved in the Louisiana State Nurses Association (LSNA), Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD), National League for Nursing (NLN), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP) Appraiser. She also serves as an American Nurses Association Abstract Reviewer. Over the past years, Tricia has served and continues in this role as a preceptor and mentor for many nurses at the bedside and in leadership roles. She is also an adjunct faculty member for Louisiana State University at Eunice (LSUE), where she teaches nursing fundamentals and leadership courses. As program director for the Ochsner Lafayette General RN Residency Program, Tricia has been instrumental in organizing and expanding the scope of the nurse residency program from one hospital to another five hospitals in the Lafayette region. She achieved ANCC PTAP reaccreditation in 2023 for an additional four years. She has a strong belief in mentorship and has developed, alongside the RN Residency Program Coordinators, a new graduate nurse mentorship model as an ongoing approach for support after transitioning into the workforce, demonstrating a commitment to advancing the nursing profession. Tricia's areas of focus are advancing nursing education and practice through the use of technology and research. She concentrates on aligning educational initiatives with the community's needs, healthcare organizations, and the changing landscape of access to care and political events. Tricia is involved in various organizational leadership meetings and serves on the advisory boards for local universities and community colleges.
As a Louisiana State Nurses Association (LSNA) board member, Tricia is passionate about educating newly graduated nurses to maintain a sense of caring, compassion, and empathy during their nursing careers. Her goals are to build upon the LSNA mentorship program, design a forum and podcast to discuss specific topics and challenges that nurses face and develop ideas to improve collaborative efforts for the nursing community as a channel of support for nurses and facilitate and improve healthcare outcomes.

Dr. Jefferson is a nurse educator with 29+ years of experience, including 19 years as a nurse educator. She is a goal-oriented team player who is always willing to assist colleagues, family, friends, and nursing residents. Dr. Jefferson has a gift for sharing her knowledge, professionalism, dedication, and attributes as a nurse educator. Her take-charge attitude ensures her colleagues and residents receive the best educational experiences based on her value system, which includes accountability, integrity, respect, personal growth, and honesty. Dr. Jefferson is very committed to her job, colleagues, family, friends, and nursing residents. She has set the standard for leadership, dedication, and service and is well-respected in academia and the community. Dr. Jefferson has demonstrated an uncompromising duty to meet the needs of her job and those who need her assistance.
Dr. Jefferson is a Clinical Nurse Educator at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System. In this position, she coordinates and manages the educational needs of the Nursing Service and serves as a resource person for various aspects of skills training, competency development, and nursing orientation implementation. Additionally, she is the director/coordinator for the residency programs at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System, overseeing the planning, development, and coordination of educational and learning programs. Dr. Jefferson is also the affiliations coordinator, which includes all forms of nursing development, including affiliations with academic nursing partners, ensuring that they align with the organization's healthcare needs. Her duties include providing overall management and integration between and among all services and programs in delivering cost-effective, customer-driven training, education, and staff career and professional development.
Dr. Jefferson has received certification in Evidence-based Practice and serves on the Research and Evidence-based Practice (EBP) council as an EBP mentor. In addition, she provides expertise in the evidence-based projects that the residents complete during their Post-Baccalaureate Registered Nurse Residency (PB-RNR) Program and Registered Nurse Transition to Practice Residency (RNTTP). Dr. Jefferson is also the chair of the Nursing Education Professional Development Council, overseeing the educational resources and training for Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System nursing staff. She serves as an Advisory Board committee member on our academic affiliate, Dillard University College of Nursing, LSU Health Science Center School of Nursing, and University of Holy Cross School of Nursing. Dr. Jefferson served as Sigma Theta Tau International Xi Psi Chapter president at Large and is currently a Delegate. She is a fellow of the Nurse Leader Institute (NLI), where she completed a yearlong leadership development program that strengthens new experiences as a nurse leader. Dr. Jefferson was nominated for the Nightingale Hall of Fame and Nurse Excellence Legacy Award and received the prestigious Nightingale Award for completing the NLI.
Dr. Jefferson earned her BSN from the University of Holy Cross in 1993, her MSN from Loyola University New Orleans in 2003, and her Ph.D. in 2014 from Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia. Her dissertation was titled "The Impact of Childhood Diabetes Mellitus in Low-Income African American Families." Her nursing experience includes various fields such as Care of Infants and Children, Nursing Education, and Nurse Faculty, with her area of expertise in Adult Health Nursing Care of Infants and Children.
